RAF Fairford - 'Epic Fury' Bomber Deployment

A number of bombers deployed to RAF Fairford as part of Operation 'Epic Fury', to conduct strikes on Iran whilst taking off and returning to RAF Fairford to make the trip shorter

We got there on Monday, where nothing much happened until dark, where the 3 B-1s that diverted to Ramstein had made the journey over to Fairford.

The next morning, we had a quick trip to Brize Norton to see 'Vespina' coming in, before hearing that 3 more B-1s were on approach to Fairford, so we rushed over to catch them land.

Then a short while later, a fourth one landed...

Then, with the engines running on some of the B-1s, 3 of them started to taxi out to Runway 27, where they soon took off for the first strikes on Iran from RAF Fairford.

The next morning we woke up at 6:30am, just in time for them to arrive back at base after a near 15 hour mission.

A C-5M then landed shortly after, followed by a Kalitta 747, so we then headed round to the other side of the base to see if anything else would occur as it was our last day down there.
